| Component | What it covers | Reported cost |
|---|---|---|
| Platform fee | Platform access, admin, storage, standard support | $5,000–$50,000/yr |
| Onboarding | Implementation, admin training, CRM setup | $7,500–$65,000 one-time |
| Gong Foundation | Recording, transcription, AI insights, CRM sync, basic deal visibility | $1,300–$1,600/user/yr |
| Gong Forecast | Forecast submissions, AI predictors, analytics | ~$700/user/yr |
| Forecast Essentials | Deal and account boards, AI Deal Reviewer | ~$300/user/yr |
| Gong Enable | Enable Essentials plus AI role-play and meeting rehearsal | Est. ~$360–$720/user/yr |
| Enable Essentials | Coaching, AI Call Reviewer, coaching metrics | ~$300/user/yr |
| Gong Engage | Sequences, AI emails, dialer | ~$800/user/yr |
| Data Cloud | Export to Snowflake, Databricks, BI | Custom |
| Gong Credits | Metered AI: trackers, MCP, APIs | 2,000/seat/yr included; extra custom |
Those are the headline numbers. The rest of this guide breaks down how each one is built, what changes it at renewal, and how Gong compares head to head with Avoma, so you can sanity-check a real quote before you sign.
Gong publishes no prices, so every Gong figure here is a third-party estimate. We checked them against Gong's own site and help docs, transaction data from Vendr and G2, and our own sales conversations with teams evaluating Gong and Avoma side by side, or looking to switch from Gong to Avoma. Where sources disagree or a figure can't be confirmed, we say so.
Gong costs about $1,600 per user per year at list for its core Foundation license, plus a platform fee and one-time onboarding. Most teams land between $11,000 and $204,000 a year, with a median of ~$55,000.
Gong doesn't publish pricing. Its own pricing page says licenses are per-user and there's a platform fee "based on number of users supported," and that integrations are free. Then it routes you straight into a lead form, where you pick a team-size band (1–50, 51–1,000, 1,001–9,999, or 10,000+) before you see a proposal.
Since March 2025, Gong has sold a core license called Gong Foundation, plus separately priced applications. Customers on older contracts stay on legacy plans until renewal.
| Team size | List $/user/yr | $/user/mo |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 49 users | $1,600 | $133 |
| 50–99 users | $1,520 | $127 |
| 100–249 users | $1,440 | $120 |
| 250+ users | $1,360 | $113 |
This is the most commonly cited breakdown across pricing sites, but Gong hasn't confirmed it. Negotiated deals reportedly land at $1,000 to $1,349/user/year, and teams of 100+ seats typically negotiate 20 to 35% below smaller teams. These are billed annually. You can't pay month-to-month, so getting started is a big commitment.
Vendr tracks real, anonymized software purchases, and its data is the most solid number we found:
| Metric | Vendr data |
|---|---|
| Median annual contract | ~$55,000 (1,146 tracked purchases) |
| Range | $11,352 to $204,036 |
| Average negotiated discount | 14.17% off the initial quote |
| Per-seat cost, standard (25–75 seats) | $1,400 to $2,000/year |
| Per-seat cost, advanced (50–150 seats) | $1,800 to $2,600/year |
| Multi-year deals | 60 to 70% |
| Free trial | None self-serve; sales-managed pilots (commonly 14 to 30 days) offered selectively |
| Month-to-month billing | No |
G2's pricing page backs this up. No free trial, custom quotes only, and an average buyer-reported discount of 14% off quote. Close enough to Vendr's number to trust both.
A 10-seat team pays about $28,500 in year one for Foundation alone. A 100-seat team pays about $156,500. Add Forecast and Engage and those numbers rise by roughly 30% to more than double.
These estimates use list Foundation pricing and the lowest reported platform fee ($5,000) and onboarding fee ($7,500). Both fees scale with team size, so treat larger-team totals as floors.
| Team size | Foundation seats | Year one (Foundation only) | Year two (before uplift) | Year one (Foundation + Forecast + Engage) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 users | $16,000 | $28,500+ | $21,000+ | $36,500–$42,500+ |
| 25 users | $40,000 | $52,500+ | $45,000+ | $72,500–$87,500+ |
| 50 users | $76,000 | $88,500+ | $81,000+ | $132,500–$162,500+ |
| 100 users | $144,000 | $156,500+ | $149,000+ | $252,500–$312,500+ |
| 250 users | $340,000 | $352,500+ | $345,000+ | $612,500–$762,500+ |
The bundle column applies the reported $2,400–$3,000/user/year bundle range to every team size. Larger teams will likely negotiate below it.
Seat count sets the base, but modules, fixed fees and contract terms decide the final number. Two companies with the same headcount can get very different quotes.
Foundation is the required core license for every paid Gong user. It covers conversation intelligence and basic deal visibility. Forecasting, coaching, engagement and data export cost extra.
| Included in Foundation | Needs a separate module |
|---|---|
| Call recording and AI transcription in 70+ languages | Forecast submissions and AI revenue prediction (Forecast) |
| Conversation analytics, AI summaries, Ask Anything | Deal boards and AI Deal Reviewer (Forecast Essentials) |
| Basic deal visibility | Coaching and AI call scoring (Enable Essentials) |
| CRM sync (Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics) and 300+ integrations | AI role-play and meeting rehearsal (Enable) |
| 15+ Gong AI Agents for individual users | Sequences, AI emails and dialer (Engage) |
| Free Collaborator seats with view-only access | Data export to Snowflake or BI tools (Data Cloud) |
Gong's pricing starts with a platform fee, which is essentially the cost of access. It's a fixed annual fee that varies depending on your team's size and the volume of data you'll be storing.
Each module costs roughly $300 to $800 per user per year, on top of the Foundation seat. You can't buy a module without Foundation.
| Module | Reported $/user/yr | What it adds | Who it's for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gong Forecast | ~$700 | Forecast submissions and overrides, AI Deal and Revenue Predictors, forecast analytics | Teams running a weekly forecast in Gong |
| Forecast Essentials | ~$300 | Deal Boards, Account Boards, AI Deal Reviewer, Win/Loss insights | Managers who want deal visibility without forecasting |
| Gong Enable | "Tens of dollars"/seat/mo; est. ~$360–$720 | Everything in Enable Essentials, plus AI Trainer role-play and Dry Run rehearsal | Teams that want AI practice before live calls |
| Enable Essentials | ~$300 | Coaching and call scoring, AI Call Reviewer, initiative boards, coaching metrics | Managers who want consistent coaching without role-play |
| Gong Engage | ~$800 | Multi-step Flows, AI-written emails, dialer, Chrome extension | Teams doing outbound without a separate engagement tool |
| Data Cloud | Custom | Export to Snowflake, Databricks and BI tools | RevOps teams analyzing Gong data elsewhere |
Gong launched Enable on February 25, 2026. Its CPO described the price as "tens of dollars per seat per month," with no list price.
Gong Engage, Gong's AI sales engagement module for email, dialer, and sequencing, is a real add-on product, not a rebrand of the core platform.
Gong has no named public tiers. A deal is Foundation plus whichever modules you pick.
| Package | Reported $/user/yr | Typical buyer |
|---|---|---|
| Foundation only | $1,300–$1,600 | Conversation intelligence only |
| Foundation + Forecast Essentials | ~$1,600–$1,900 | Managers who need deal boards |
| Foundation + Forecast or Engage | $1,900–$2,200 | Conversation intelligence plus one workflow |
| Foundation + Forecast + Engage | $2,400–$3,000 | The full Gong platform |
| Enterprise (all apps + Enable + Data Cloud) | Custom | Large multi-team deployments |
Gong Credits are a metered allowance for heavy AI use. Each paid seat adds 2,000 credits a year to a company-wide pool. When the pool runs out, AI processing stops until you buy more.
This is the part most older "Gong pricing" articles miss, and it's the direct answer to a cluster of searches we're seeing for "gong pay per use pricing" and "gong pricing pay as you go."
In June 2026, Gong introduced Gong Credits, a metered pricing layer. Customers were emailed about it in late May, and Gong's help article is dated June 9.
| Uses credits | Doesn't use credits |
|---|---|
| Question-based AI Trackers, on every new call and email | Pretrained trackers |
| Ask Anything and Briefer through the API | Ask Anything and briefs run manually in the UI |
| MCP server tools (ask_account, ask_deal, generate_brief) | Viewing data that's already been processed |
| Deep mode | Calls, deal intelligence, forecasting, coaching |
| Gong Enrich, per email or phone number returned | Gong Agents used by individual users |
| Activity | Credit cost |
|---|---|
| Call over 10 minutes | 1 credit |
| Call under 10 minutes | 0.3 credits |
| 10 emails | 1 credit |
| Web search in a brief | 10 credits |
Gong Credits pay for extra AI horsepower. Your seat covers everything else. If you've seen "Gong pay-per-use pricing" mentioned somewhere, this is almost certainly what they meant.
The biggest surprises in a Gong deal aren't on the first quote. They come from the onboarding fee, module stacking, and renewal terms that put cost risk on the buyer.
Gong's total cost isn't just per-seat. It's platform fee plus Foundation seats plus a one-time onboarding fee, with modules and possibly Gong Credits on top. Each layer adds up quickly for smaller teams.
There's no self-serve free trial at any tier. Gong offers sales-managed pilots, commonly 14 to 30 days, to prospects it considers qualified. Larger deals get these pilots more often, even though it isn't a formal enterprise-only policy. Billing is annual or multi-year only.
| Term | Gong's default | What to negotiate |
|---|---|---|
| Contract length | 2–3 years common, often with year one paid upfront. 60–70% of deals are multi-year (Vendr) | A 1-year term, or annual payments on a multi-year deal |
| Auto-renewal | Renews for one year unless written notice is given 60 days before renewal | Put the notice date in your calendar on day one |
| Renewal uplift | 5–10% a year typical; up to 15% reported | A 0–3% cap, in writing |
| Downsizing | Cutting seats re-prices the contract; promotional pricing reverts to list | A locked per-seat rate at any seat count |
| Cancellation | Non-cancelable, non-refundable; 50–100% early-termination penalties reported | Termination for convenience after year one |
| Mid-term seats | Billed pro rata; each needs Foundation plus every module that user uses | Pre-agreed rates for added seats |
| Credit overage | AI processing stops until more credits are bought | The credit-pack price, in the order form |
| Onboarding | $7,500–$65,000 one-time | A waiver, or onboarding folded into the seat price |
If you're on a pre-2025 Gong plan, you move to the Foundation model at renewal. Gong grants matching seats (for example, Forecast Essentials for former Pro seats), but seats added after renewal are paid separately.
Very. Buyers report an average discount of about 14% off the first quote, and larger teams negotiate further. Most terms can only be changed before signature.
These come from our own sales conversations at Avoma, with two groups: teams evaluating Gong and Avoma in parallel, and current Gong customers looking to switch from Gong to Avoma. Three themes come up repeatedly.
G2 reviews from SMB and early-stage buyers say the same thing, repeatedly: for smaller or fast-growing teams, the cost and complexity can be a hurdle.
For larger sales orgs with a strong operational motion, Gong's tools provide deep sales insights and enable informed decisions based on market intelligence from customer interactions. But many of the headline features sit in paid modules, not in the base seat.
| Feature | Where it lives |
|---|---|
| Conversation recording across meetings, sales calls, and emails | Foundation |
| Deal boards and pipeline tracking | Forecast Essentials |
| Sales coaching tools for managers | Enable Essentials |
| Forecasting based on deal activity | Forecast |
| AI call scoring | Enable Essentials |
| AI role-play | Enable |

Use the calculator below to get a ballpark figure for your team size, then compare it side by side with Avoma's pricing to see where you'd come out ahead.
The calculator holds per-seat cost flat regardless of team size, so it doesn't account for the volume discounts Gong applies at larger seat counts. It also leaves out onboarding, add-on modules like Forecast or Engage, and extra Gong Credits. For real-world context, Vendr's transaction data puts the median Gong contract at ~$55,000/year, with heavier negotiation kicking in on bigger deals. Treat the number below as a starting point, not a quote.

| Date | Change |
|---|---|
| Jun 2023 | Gong Engage launched |
| 2023 | Per-user license reported at ~$1,000/yr, versus $1,300–$1,600 today |
| Mar 2025 | Modular pricing: Foundation core license plus separately priced applications |
| 2025 | Platform fee ceiling reported at up to $50,000/yr |
| Feb 25, 2026 | Gong Enable launched |
| Jun 2026 | Gong Credits introduced for AI Trackers, MCP server and API workflows |
Gong fits large sales orgs that will use several modules and can negotiate hard. Teams that want posted prices and flexible billing get more predictable costs with Avoma.

No. Gong's pricing page describes the model (per-user licenses, a platform fee based on users supported, and free integrations) but gives no numbers. You pick a team-size band and talk to sales to get a quote.
Gong's core Foundation license lists at about $1,600/user/year for teams under 50, falling to about $1,360 at 250+ users. Negotiated deals reportedly land at $1,000 to $1,349. Add-on modules such as Forecast or Engage add roughly $300 to $800/user/year each.
Partly. Since June 2026, Gong Credits meter heavy AI use such as question-based AI Trackers, the MCP server and API workflows. Each paid seat adds 2,000 credits a year to a shared pool, and extra credits can be bought. Recording, transcription, forecasting and coaching stay in the seat license.
Gong doesn't publish Engage pricing. Third-party estimates put it at about $800/user/year on top of a Foundation seat, or about $1,900 to $2,200/user/year combined.
A one-time onboarding fee of $7,500 to $65,000, per-user modules on top of every Foundation seat, Gong Credit packs once the AI usage pool runs out, and renewal uplifts of 5 to 10% a year unless your contract caps them.
Yes. Vendr reports an average discount of 14.17% off the initial quote, and G2 buyers report about 14%. Teams of 100+ seats typically negotiate 20 to 35% below smaller teams. Renewal caps and termination terms need to be agreed before signing.
Not a self-serve one. Gong offers sales-managed pilots, commonly 14 to 30 days, selectively to qualified prospects. Billing is annual or multi-year only.
Gong Foundation is the required core license for every paid Gong user. It covers call recording, transcription, AI insights, CRM sync and basic deal visibility. It lists at about $1,600/user/year, and every add-on module needs a Foundation seat for the same user.
Avoma posts its pricing publicly, starting at $19/seat/month, and charges $0 in platform, onboarding or other extra fees. A 10-seat Organization deployment with Revenue Intelligence for 5 users costs $5,220 a year, versus roughly $30,000 in year one for a comparable 10-seat Gong deployment.
It can be, but the fixed platform fee and one-time onboarding fee hit small teams hardest. A 10-seat team pays about $28,500 in year one on Foundation alone, and G2 reviewers from SMBs and early-stage startups often say the cost is hard to justify.
